Alex Osgood (Secretary)
She/her/they/them
Originally from Cobar and raised in Tumut on Wiradjuri Country, Alex returned to the region two years ago after nearly a decade in Wollongong/Sydney.
After finding her place in Local Government, Alex has extensive experience in communications, event management, community development and consultation.
By day Alex coordinates the Community Development Team at a local Council and in her spare time they are a volunteer community radio presenter for Triple A FM, Secretary for Wagga Wagga Mardi Gras Committee and compulsive project starter with a mild almond latte addiction.
Why are you passionate about this event and LGBTIQ in Wagga and the Riverina?
Wagga Wagga Mardi Gras may only be one day a year, but its impact goes way beyond.
This bi-qween understands the impact of pride festivals in regional areas and seeks to ensure that our next generation of young queen folk know their value and find their place in this world.
She is extremely passionate about creating safe, accessible and inclusive environments and events for our whole community to enjoy.
Wagga Wagga Mardi Gras has so much to give and this is only the beginning.
What would your drag name be?
