COVID-19 Public Health & Safety
The Wagga Wagga Mardi Gras parade and celebrations are back for 2022! Even though it might look a little different this year, it is important for us to come together and celebrate pride safely and responsibly.
Please follow the guidelines set out to ensure you are protecting yourself and the community by stopping the spread of COVID-19. It is up to us all to keep safe and healthy during this period.
If you are attending the Mardi Gras Festival Launch Drag Show Event at Que Bar on Friday 11th March, we recommend you keep up to date on the venue’s COVID-19 rules & regulations prior to that event. https://www.quewagga.com.au/
If you’re not well, stay home
We ask that you do not attend the event if you’re experiencing any flu-like symptoms such as sore throat, fever, shortness of breath, cough or loss of smell or taste, stay at home and seek medical advice.
Awaiting test results?
If you have been advised to have a PCR test and are awaiting results, please do not attend the event. Follow the guidelines of the health care provider until you receive a negative result.
Wear a mask
For the health and safety of yourself and all other patrons, we strongly recommend that all attendees over the age of 12 wear a face covering. Bring out those colourful, rainbow, glitter masks we want to see your pride!
Be respectful
We ask that all patrons be respectful of one another’s personal space and try to retain 1.5m distance at all times. Regularly wash your hands and use hand sanitiser where possible.
Stay hydrated and stay cool. If you feel unsafe or uncomfortable, please raise attention with staff or security. For more information regarding NSW government rules and regulations, please visit: https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/stay-safe/rules/people-in-nsw
