Hannah Guy (Committee Member)

She/her/they/them

Growing up down the road in Cootamundra Hannah considers herself a sort of ‘local’ of Wagga. After high school she moved to Canberra to study Graphic Design, then moved to Sydney where she worked for Channel Ten, sharing that the nicest person she met in her time there was Sandra Sully. After turning 30 she decided to move back closer to home and family. Staying in the media industry she currently works for Southern Cross Austereo who are extremely proud official media partners of the Wagga Mardi Gras. When she’s not at work, you’ll find her spending time with friends or at Bunnings.

What is your name and day job?

My name is Hannah Guy and I am the Riverina Brand and Promotions Manager for Hit 93.1 and Triple M in Wagga. I look after all partnerships, social media, events and promotions on both local radio stations.

Why are you passionate about this event and LGBTIQ in Wagga and the Riverina?

I do love a good party! Celebrating happiness is such an important part of life, and we get to celebrate all walks of life at Mardi Gras. Wagga has such a great community and the Mardi Gras allows everyone to be part of such an inclusive event. We get to celebrate all the different colours of love, and that’s something Wagga should be really proud of!

What would your drag name be?

Surely I’d have to play on words with my surname! Something like Izzy A. Guy, or Aria A. Guy.
